Monthly Favorites// June 2017

Hello Gals,

June is now coming to an end, so you know what that means? Lets all say it together, “IT’S MONTHLY FAVORITES TIME”! If you’re someone like me, these posts are so helpful to finding new products. I get anxiety attacks going into a Sephora or drug store without knowing what I’m buying before walking in. It’s too much pressure and I can’t fucking deal. lol What if I waste my money on a shit product, I am too broke to make mistakes. So if this is something you’re interested in seeing every month, follow my blog so you don’t miss a thing!

ADVANCED CLINICALS ARGAN OIL

I apply this before bed, before I do my makeup, sometimes to remove my makeup, as a makeup elixir, and I have even put this in my hair a couple times when it was looking dry. I love this product, I feel it gives me a natural glow and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. For those of you wondering, I have a normal skin type with minor dryness around my T- Zone. With that being said, I don’t know how this product will work for those with oily skin, or dry skin. I can only speak on how this product worked on me, with my skin type. One thing I can say is I personally didn’t find that it tightened my skin, but its so multifunctional that I don’t mind. It’s also affordable and a little goes a long way so this will last you a while.

OFRA COSMETICS – HIGHLIGHTER IN RODEO DRIVE

I was introduced to this product a couple months ago through Boxycharm, and it has replaced every highlighter that I have. It retails for $29 and in my opinion it is worth every penny. If you like blinding highlights then you will love this, because astronauts will be able to see you from space. This highlighter makes you shine, without it looking glittery. If you apply this with a setting spray it practically melts into your skin. This shit is gold (literally)!

PüR COSMETICS BEAUTY SPONGE

This also came from a Boxycharm box (sometimes we get some hidden gems). I would never had been introduced to this product if it wasn’t for BC. I don’t ever hear anyone talking about this sponge, which is shocking because it applies my makeup flawlessly. My first impression of this sponge was that it was stiff, I felt like I was punching myself in the face trying to blend my foundation in. Online it says the sponge can be used wet or dry, but do not use this dry unless you want to feel your brain rattling. It needs to be completely saturated in water (not just damp), it actually grows like three times its size. Once it has grown you can squeeze out the excess water and apply your foundation like normal and its not stiff anymore (it only took me a black eye to realize this). You can get a pack of three sponges for $36 or a single sponge for $12.

SO SUSAN FAN BUSH

I may be late to the game, but this is my first ever fan brush. I don’t understand how I ever applied my highlighter any other way! I got it in a Boxycharm box (are you picking up a pattern here?), and I haven’t used another brush since. This brush works perfectly for powder highlights and the company is cruelty free! It retails for $18.95, to be honest you might be able to find a cheaper fan brush, but if you’re in the market and you would like to support a company that doesn’t test their products on animals then give this a try. Why not?

So that is my favorites for the month of June, this month has a lot of Boxycharm items surprisingly and I wasn’t planning on that. If you don’t know about Boxycharm, it’s a monthly subscription box that you get each month for $21. You get 4 to 5 full size items, some items are definitely better then others but for such an affordable price you get some great things. If you’re interested in signing up, I have a referral link that you can use, I won’t get commission but if I get enough points I can get free shipping one month. https://boxycharm.com/refer/ASHLE-ZTHPNQIG

Let me know if you have tried any of these items and how they worked for you in the comment section. Don’t be shy, what did you think of this post? Did you like it, would you like to see more? Am I full of shit? Let’s hear some feedback.

Until next time,
Amarie McCarthy
